FRAGMENTS OF A DISAPPEARING LANDSCAPE (2024-)
This exhibition is currently being presented at the Collision Gallery as part of the DesignTO Festival. January 24 - February 15, 2025.
Drawing inspiration from the Oak Ridges Moraine in Ontario's
Greenbelt, the project traces the moraine's ancient topography, shaped 20,000
years ago during the Wisconsin Glaciation.
Through a series of clay
impressions, these fragile forms are carefully documented, capturing a visual
archive of a landscape that is increasingly at risk due to urban sprawl,
environmental degradation, and climate change.
These impressions, resembling an
ancient and indecipherable language, offer a poetic meditation on vulnerable environments.
